Mark Felt: The Man Who Brought Down the White House | 2017 | PG-13 | - 1.2.5

Based on the real-life story of FBI deputy assistant director Mark Felt (Liam Neeson), who received the moniker "Deep Throat" from journalists Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward when he helped them uncover the Watergate scandal that led to President Richard Nixon's resignation in 1974. Also with Diane Lane, Marton Csokas, Tony Goldwyn, Josh Lucas, Michael C. Hall, Tom Sizemore and Julian Morris. Directed by Peter Landesman. [1:43]

SEX/NUDITY 1 - A husband and his wife hug and kiss in a few scenes. Men and women dance together at a house party and one woman dances seductively while her husband watches.
 A man talks about a person having been employed to listen for "girlie stuff" in offices. A man talks about surveilling government officials over their mistresses and homosexual lovers. A young woman is found in a commune where she has had a baby (we do not know who the father is).
 A woman wears a low-cut dress that reveals cleavage in a few scenes. Two young women wear low-cut tops that reveal cleavage.

VIOLENCE/GORE 2 - Two men argue about secret FBI files and the funeral arrangements for FBI Director Herbert Hoover. A man accuses another man of taping Martin Luther King with other women and then sending them to his family. A man makes reference to a militant group burning children in their beds. A woman says of her daughter, "Maybe she's dead, or maybe she gave up." A woman talks about having been given up to foster care by her mother and then an orphanage. A man says that President Richard Nixon said, "The Germans had the right idea, and it is time to clean out the FBI." A man makes a threat about cutting off another man's genitals. A man says, "I'm going to be sick," he does not get sick.
 We read that a woman committed suicide. We hear news reports about a bombing in the Pentagon, about Nixon's uncertain reelection, about a break-in at the Democratic National Committee offices, about the Vietnam War, about protesting, and about bombings by the Weather Underground. Two men discuss a bombing and that nails and ball bearings were used. We hear that Herbert Hoover died after a stroke. We understand that the daughter (an older teen) of a couple has run away from home and they do not know where she has gone.
 Many mourners gather at the funeral of Herbert Hoover. Many people scramble to destroy files and papers by burning them and shredding them. We see people carrying signs and placards during a protest march outside the White House. A man searches his home and his office for electronic surveillance devices.

LANGUAGE 5 - About 2 F-words uttered during a protest, 2 scatological terms, 2 anatomical terms, 6 mild obscenities, name-calling (bag man, pigs, bottom feeder, frat boy, sleaze, punk, rat), 11 religious profanities (GD), 3 religious exclamations (Jesus, God, Oh My God).

SUBSTANCE USE - Men and woman drink alcohol and smoke cigarettes at a house party, a woman drinks a cocktail at home, and men and women drink cocktails and alcohol in several scenes in bars and homes. Men and women smoke cigarettes in many scenes throughout the movie, a man and a woman smokes cigarettes beside a swimming pool, a man smokes cigarettes in a parking garage, and a man smokes a cigarette in a car.
