Sequel to the 2000 film "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon": After the death of her lover, a legendary warrior (Michelle Yeoh) comes out of retirement in order to keep the powerful Green Destiny sword from an ambitious warlord. Several warriors, including a master swordsman (Donnie Yen) who was believed to be dead, join her mission. SEX/NUDITY 3 - A fully nude woman steps into a bath and we see her bare back, legs, buttocks and a portion of her bare breast.
 A very pregnant woman is shown in labor and we then see her being presented with a baby. A man and a woman talk and it is implied that they had been in love; the woman says, "I was promised to another."

VIOLENCE/GORE 7 - A man and a woman fight with swords until we hear a slash and the woman falls to her knees (we see blood on her clothing and later on her hands); she dies later with a young girl attending to her. A woman stabs a man and he falls to the ground as blood spurts from the wound. A woman stabs a man with a spear and we hear a crunch, and a man is run through and slashed across the throat (we see blood on his neck). A woman stabs another woman in the throat and we see a bloody gash as she falls dead. Two women fight and one is stabbed through the abdomen; she falls to the floor, gasps and stops breathing. While fighting, two men jump into the air and one is stabbed (we hear a crunch and see a bloody gash as he falls hard to the ground dead). Two women fight and one is stabbed through (we see blood on the blade sticking through a door). A man is slashed by a sword and we see blood on the blade. A man is struck through the chest by a thrown spear (we hear a thud and the man falls back). A man is dragged on the ground and another man stabs him with a spear off-screen (we hear a crunch).
 Many people with swords descend on a carriage as a woman from inside the carriage bursts out through the top swinging a sword; the woman fights the attackers and we see slashing and lunging (no blood is shown) until another man with a sword joins the fight and the two dispatch the attackers together. A man and a woman fight with many guards; the man fights with another man on a ledge before they fall from the ledge and crash through several other ledges on the way down to the ground, and then continue the fight. During a fight with many attackers a woman throws darts at several men, hitting and knocking them out; a man uses a shield to knocks several attackers down, another man throws knives hitting several other attackers and a cook fights using pots and pans as well as ladles and pours hot soup over one attacker and he slams into a post when trying to run away. During a fight scene, we see people fighting with swords and knives; many people are stabbed and we hear crunches; two women fight with swords, and a woman holds a knife to a man's throat. A man fights many other men in a marketplace (they use swords and axes and the man is unarmed); he walks across the feet of several attackers causing them to yell in pain. During a fight a man stands on the top of a tall pole and another man cuts it in half causing the man to fall; he hits the other man in the head on the way down and he is thrown back.
 A young woman surrounded by guards is brought before a man and they talk until the young woman attacks the man with a sword; they fight briefly with slashes and jumps until her sword is broken and she runs away jumping over rooftops. Two men fight on a frozen body of water; the ice cracks and one man uses large chunks of ice as weapons to hit the other man with; one man falls into the water and the other pulls him out to the surface; another man joins the fight and one man is slashed on the arm (blood is shown on his sleeve) as two of the men continue to fight and the third runs away; one man is slashed across the abdomen (we see some blood as it trickles down his hand) and the other falls on an iron claw that he was using as a weapon (we hear a crunch). A young man runs through a dark forest and hears voices, then sees a figure that seems to disappear and reappear; we see the figure with hazy eyes and the young man holds a sword to her throat. Two men fight with swords on a peak and one is pushed back over the cliff, grabs onto a stone and does not fall. A young woman jumps toward a woman who hits her in the leg and she falls to the ground. A young man tries to steal a sword from a case until another person comes in the room and they fight; one holds the other on the floor and one shoves the other and holds him down with her foot until he is taken away by guards and he is held with a leather strap around his neck.
 A man punches a young man locked in a cage in the face and then shoves him. Two men fight with punches and kicks; one man knocks the other to the ground and the fight is stopped. Men with sticks try to poke a young man locked in a cage and he shoves the sticks out.
 A young man is shown locked in a cage and we see him there through many scenes in the movie. A couple of blurry scenes show young people practicing martial moves using sword-shaped sticks. A young man jumps through a window and knocks over a metal vessel but catches it before it lands on the floor. A man runs into another man in a crowded marketplace. A very pregnant woman is shown walking with a horse and then in labor.
 A man threatens to cut out the tongue of a woman. A young man threatens a woman and makes a comment about her house "swimming with blood." A man and a woman argue in a marketplace. We hear a voiceover of a woman talking about the "death of her beloved." A man talks about the death of his father. A young woman talks about her mother dying. Several people tease a man about his name and laugh. We hear that a woman traded her newborn for another newborn unbeknownst to the other mother. A woman tells a young girl to find a boy and if he is good save him, otherwise kill him.
 Many dead bodies are shown on the ground after a large fight (not much blood is visible). Several bodies are shown wrapped with cloth. A man is shown with a large scar on his face. A man burps. Many warriors are shown wearing metal masks that resemble entwined snakes.

LANGUAGE 0 - Name-calling (murderer, concubine).

SUBSTANCE USE - Men drink liquor in a café, a man drinks from a flask and it is implied that he drinks a lot, several people drink shots of liquor, and a man talks about being given "all the wine we can drink."

DISCUSSION TOPICS - Lost love, legacy, arranged marriages, tradition, failure, grief, duty, honor, trust.

MESSAGE - Some things are worth fighting for.
