Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt star as a man and a woman who have 12 children and decide to try to run a two career family (he's a football coach and she's an author) while still maintaining some semblance of a normal home life. The pressures and demands of their jobs take their toll on the family, and they must choose what is most important for their happiness. Also with Hilary Duff, Piper Perabo, Tom Welling. SEX/NUDITY 3 - A man pushes a woman back onto a bed and they kiss. A man and a woman kiss and hug in several scenes. A young man and a young woman sleep together. A young man and a young woman kiss, and a young man and a young woman hug. A woman wears a low-cut dress that reveals cleavage in a few scenes. A woman wiggles her hips and buttocks (she's clothed) in a man's direction and he admires her. A man says about his daughter and her boyfriend, "they can't sleep together," a man says to his wife, "we still got the heat," a woman says to her husband, "you were checking me out," and a man says about his wife, "I couldn't keep her off me." In the outtakes that run with the credits the actors who play the eldest son and the mother make very suggestive remarks to each other and then they kiss on the mouth.

VIOLENCE/GORE 3 - A boy skates over a balcony and swings from a chandelier, a man reaches to try to retrieve him, he falls and hangs from the same chandelier, they swing and the chandelier crashes to the floor (no one is injured). A man falls off a ladder and a chandelier falls on top of him. A dog attacks a man's crotch, he bites his buttocks and throws him off his chair, continuing to bite him while he's on the floor (he apparently has a hamburger scent on his underwear). Two boys fight and wrestle on the ground, and two young men get in each other's faces, yell, insult each other and almost fight. A group of bullies take a boy's glasses and run into him knocking him down. A girl has a spot of blood on her head where she was apparently hit with a dart. A man hides in a closet, a boy hits the door with a hatchet (we see the blade poke through the inside, near the man). A boy dangles by his feet from the roof of a house (we see him pass by a window on the outside). A pet snake gets loose during a party, and people run and scream knocking down furniture and other people. A frog jumps onto a table full of food sending eggs and beverages all over the people sitting around the table. A woman talks about her sister dying. A boy's frog dies and the boy grieves and buries him. A boy runs away from home. A man is thrown through the air when a large balloon breaks. A boy vomits (we hear "splat"), another boy slips and falls into it, then he vomits (we hear "splat" again and see goo on the floor). Adults and young adults argue and fight in a few scenes. Children argue and insult each other in several scenes. A young man says of a group of children "they set me on fire." A girl pounds on a bathroom door.

LANGUAGE 3 - 2 mild anatomical terms, 3 mild sexual references, 4 mild obscenities, 1 religious profanity (bleeped), 2 religious exclamations, name-calling and insults.

SUBSTANCE USE - People are shown drinking alcohol.

DISCUSSION TOPICS - Large families, following dreams, careers, priorities, compromise, breaking rules, making choices, promises, taking risks, fitting in, bullies.

MESSAGE - The happiness of one's family is the most important thing.
