Two men (Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman) dying of cancer go an a journey to do all the things they wish they could do before "kicking the bucket." SEX/NUDITY 3 - A woman kisses her dead husband on the lips. A woman kisses a man on the cheek.
 Two men talk about kissing a lot of women: One says he wants to kiss the most beautiful woman in the world, the other asks how he's going to do that, and the first man replies, "Volume." Men talk about how many sexual partners they have had, one man says he has only been with his wife, and the other says that he has been with lots of women and suggests organizing an orgy and the other man says he isn't interested.
 A woman comes out of a bathroom buttoning up the top buttons of her blouse and it is implied she just had sex with a man (the man walks out a few moments later, fully clothed). A man and a woman dance closely.
 We see a man shirtless in a bubble bath. A woman wears a tight knit top (there's no detail or cleavage).
 A woman invites a man upstairs to have sex (the man declines the offer).

VIOLENCE/GORE 3 - A man coughs into a handkerchief (we see the handkerchief covered in blood and mucous). A man's shirt is covered in blood. We see a man leaning over a toilet and hear him vomiting (we do not see the vomit).
 A man falls out of a bed and moans in pain. A man lies in bed moaning with pain.
 A man's legs are seen behind a bed, seizing (nothing else is shown). A man fires a gun into the air and falls down from the recoil (no one is struck). Doctors perform a brain surgery (the patient is draped so we see no blood or gore).
 One of the main characters frequently makes fun of his ex-wives and also frequently belittles his assistant and other employees. A man makes a joke about defecation. A man talks about another man hitting a woman. Two men talk about digestion, defecation, and gastric juices.

LANGUAGE 5 - 1 F-word, 1 obscene hand gesture, 13 scatological terms, 4 anatomical terms, 5 mild obscenities, name-calling (philistine, calling adults "boys and girls," zombie boy, fool, calling a second wife "the sequel," chicken), 14 religious profanities, 9 religious exclamations.

SUBSTANCE USE - Men and women drink wine in a restaurant. A man smokes a cigarette.

DISCUSSION TOPICS - Mortality, one's own death, death of a loved one, meaning of life, cancer, chemotherapy, marriage, divorce, suicide, pity, grief, faith, parenthood, domestic violence, revenge, drinking, estrangement from family, prayer.

MESSAGE - Even when faced with dying, one should never give up on dreams and family.
