A woman (Nicole Kidman) struggles with memories that she rebuilds during the day, but are erased when she sleeps. Years earlier she survived a severe head trauma that has left her with amnesia and she can't remember her husband (Colin Firth) or anything else about the last twenty years of her life. SEX/NUDITY 6 - A woman wakes up in bed with a man sleeping next to her (we see her bare shoulders and chest and her fully nude body from the back (bare back, buttocks and legs) when she moves to the bathroom. A woman wears low-cut tops that reveal cleavage in a few scenes. A woman wears a low-cut negligee that reveals cleavage in a couple of scenes. We see many mannequin parts in a factory and most appear to be female with breasts. A woman is shown wearing a short bathrobe that reveals bare thighs to the hip.
 A man caresses a woman's neck and head and kisses her face; they kiss and moan and we hear the man's zipper opening as they continue to moan and sex is implied. A woman is shown lying in bed and wearing a bra and a short skirt that reveal cleavage, abdomen and thighs; a man lies behind her and caresses her as she tells him to stop and that she is married.
 A woman holds a doctor's hand and later puts her head on his chest saying, "You make me feel good." Several scenes show a man and a woman sleeping in bed together and the man usually has his arm draped over the woman's side. A man kisses a woman on the forehead.
 A man describes having found a woman after an attack and that she was naked and wrapped with a sheet. A man tells a woman that recent sexual intercourse was detected during an exam after the woman had been attacked; rape was not suggested. A woman tells another woman that she and the woman's husband had sex.

VIOLENCE/GORE 6 - A man hits a woman in the face with a phone handset (we see blood on her nose and face), chases her and grabs a bottle that he uses to strike her again; the woman tries to leave and the man blocks her, then slams her head into the door and tries to kiss her, he tells the woman to kiss him and she does, and then tells her to kiss him again and she does; the man strikes the woman twice in the face, she swings a lamp at him and hits him a couple of times, he throws her into a glass table that breaks, she breaks a glass on his hand (we see it bleed), she stabs him with a shard of glass and hits him in the head with an iron (blood sprays on the wall) and we see the woman in a hospital bed and hear that she has two cracked ribs and a concussion.
 A man holds a cloth over a woman's face until she collapses. A man slaps a woman in the face and leaves (we see the woman with a bloody nose and blood is seen on several tissues). A man chases a woman and when he catches her he injects her with a sedative.
 A woman has a flashback to a man striking her in the face and forcing sex on her as she protests. A woman has a flashback and sees a man holding a bottle over her and bringing it down toward her (we hear the blow but do not see it). A woman has multiple flashbacks that show her with a very bloody head and face as she pulls herself along a hallway and a man chases her and grabs her legs.
 We see photographs of a woman with a very bloody head and face after an attack. We hear rapid breathing and see dark images in the opening sequence until a woman wakes in a start.
 A truck honks as it speeds by a woman that steps into the roadway and she jumps back. A man driving swerves to avoid something in the road and his passenger gasps.
 A woman cries and collapses when a man tells her that she had a son who died of meningitis when he was 8 years old. A man tells a woman that she suffered an attack and that her injuries suggested repeated blows to the head and left for dead; the woman is terrified and asks, "Someone tried to kill me?" A woman seems afraid when she records herself on a video camera and at one point says, "He's coming." A doctor talks to a woman about "seeing you without your husband's knowledge." A man tells a woman that she had an accident that caused brain trauma which has left her with amnesia; he tells her that she can store memories for a day and they are erased when she sleeps. A man describes having found a woman after an attack and that she was naked and wrapped with a sheet and that blood was everywhere. A woman tells another woman that she and her husband were arguing a lot. A man confronts another man and tells him to stay away from his wife.
 A woman is shown bent over a toilet and when a friend asks if she is OK, she tells her that she is pregnant (we do not see vomit). A woman picks the skin on her fingers and we see a bit of blood. We see stretch marks on a woman's bare abdomen and hips.

LANGUAGE 5 - About 4 F-words, 2 sexual references, 5 scatological terms, 1 mild obscenity, 4 religious exclamations (e.g. Oh God, Oh My God, Oh Jesus).

SUBSTANCE USE - A photograph shows men and women smoking what could be marijuana cigarettes but it is unclear. A man and a woman have wine with dinner, two women drink wine, and a man pours and drinks champagne in a hotel room. We see several photographs of men and women smoking cigarettes, and a woman smokes a cigarette.

DISCUSSION TOPICS - Brain trauma, amnesia, trust, fear, infidelity, divorce, truth, love, rape, heartbreak, neuropsychology.

MESSAGE - The truth is worth fighting for.
